Honouring Remembrance Sunday: A Moment of Silence Across All Teams
This weekend, Whitehill & Bordon FC united in a solemn moment of respect as all our teams observed a one-minute silence before their matches to honour Remembrance Sunday. This annual tradition serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women in service, and we are proud to join the nation in remembrance.
Our first team, donning shirts proudly adorned with poppies, lined up with a deep sense of respect and reflection before their match. The atmosphere was solemn yet powerful, encapsulating the spirit of unity and gratitude that resonates on this significant day.
Similarly, our development team, who faced Liss Athletic, and our Under 12s team also lined up to pay their respects, each taking a moment to pause and remember those who have served and sacrificed. These moments of silence allowed players, staff, and supporters alike to reflect on the deeper significance of Remembrance Sunday.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all supporters who joined us in this tribute and for your continued support on and off the pitch.
As we move forward in our football endeavours, let us carry with us the spirit of remembrance and unity that makes our community strong. Thank you for standing with us in this commemoration.
