Match Review: Whitehill & Bordon FC 7-0 Woking Vets
Whitehill & Bordon FC delivered a stunning performance at The BOSC on Saturday, securing a 7-0 victory over Woking Vets in the ADFA Intermediate Cup. Despite facing adversity early on, the team showcased resilience, determination, and exceptional quality to progress to the next round in style.
The match began with a moment of high tension as Woking Vets were awarded a penalty. However, Joe Choularton came to the rescue with a superb save to keep the game level, inspiring confidence throughout the squad. The challenge intensified soon after as Whitehill & Bordon were reduced to 10 men, but the team rose to the occasion and dominated proceedings.
Toby Fuller opened the scoring with a clinical finish, and just before the break, Shayne Warren doubled the lead with a crucial goal. Heading into the second half, the Stags showed no signs of slowing down. Jack Fowler made it 3-0 with a composed finish, and Fuller added his second with a spectacular strike to extend the lead further.
Ciaran Judd then took charge, netting twice to make it 6-0 before Ali Gill put the finishing touches on a brilliant team performance with a seventh goal.
This result was a testament to the team’s spirit and determination, playing the majority of the game with 10 men yet dominating both in attack and defence. Special recognition goes to Joe Choularton for his early penalty save, which proved crucial in setting the tone for the game.
Whitehill & Bordon FC now advance to the next round of the ADFA Intermediate Cup, full of confidence and momentum.
